About Nan
Clarity, presence, and practical wisdom for complex lives.
Nan Hébert
Nan Hebert is a consultant, educator, and longtime practitioner of contemplative and somatic traditions. Her work brings together psychological insight, embodied awareness, and practical strategy to help people think clearly, navigate complexity, and make decisions that reflect who they are becoming.

Rather than offering formulas or quick fixes, Nan partners with individuals and organizations to translate inner understanding into grounded, real-world action. Her approach is relational, reflective, and focused on what is useful rather than what is merely impressive.

Background

Over the course of more than two decades, Nan has worked nationally and internationally with professionals, leaders, creatives, and organizations facing high-stakes decisions and demanding transitions. She has taught in academic, retreat, and corporate environments, helping people integrate awareness with everyday life and work.

Nan currently serves on the faculty of Naropa University in the Somatic Counseling MA program, where she teaches relational and embodied approaches to human development. For nearly a decade she was residential faculty at Esalen Institute, offering programs in gestalt awareness practice, yoga, bodywork, contemplative movement, and meditation, while learning alongside pioneers in multiple fields of psychology and human potential.

Her perspective is shaped by long-term study with contemplative and indigenous traditions, as well as extensive experience facilitating groups, trainings, and one-to-one professional consultations.
